The Jack and Sue Becker
PROJECT ODED
Continuing Education Program

Who we are ...
We are a "Beit Midrash" for those seeking on-going studies in a responsive, open, and co-educational community. The study of traditional Jewish texts is pursued in a warm congenial, intellectually stimulating environment, with a "Klal Yisrael" perspective and respect for different Jewish lifestyles and ideas. Our goal is Jewish literacy!

Our subjects ...
include a wide selection of contemporary and classical topics.

Our classes ...
meet daily Sunday through Thursday. Classes are ongoing so that students may join us at any time throughout the year. Choose one or more classes!
Click here for our latest schedule.

Our Monday Evening Forum...
features weekly lectures by guest personalities on developments in Israeli politics, culture, religion and other themes.

Our students ...
are diverse in background, age, occupation, and Hebrew language skills, yet all study together, bringing to the class their own unique experiences.

Our teachers ...
are highly qualified academics and educators, living in Jerusalem, dedicated to the concept of "Talmud Torah." All are enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable in their respective fields and represent "Klal Yisrael.".

Our location ...
in Jerusalem is ideal: a 10-minute walk to the center of town in one direction and the Old City in another.

In Addition ...

  • Tiyulim -- trips and walking tours.
  • Oded Reading Room -- available throughout the week.
